DBM makikiisa sa Earth Hour

Makikiisa ang Department of Budget and Management (DBM) sa taunang paggunita sa Earth Hour.

Ang Earth Hour ay isang oras na pagpapatay ng ilaw bilang pagpapahalaga sa kalikasan.

Ayon sa DBM, naglaan ang administrasyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ng P464.5 bilyong budget para sa climate change.

Katumbas ito ng 8.8 percent sa total national budget.

Nabatid na ang budget na inilaan ngayong taon ay 60.1 percent na mas mataas kumpara sa P289.7 bilyon na inilaan noong 2022.

“The DBM, for its part, strives to implement programs and initiatives that infuse environmental friendly parameters, such as the institutionalization of the Sustainable/Green Public Procurement, which enables the procurement of goods and services that have reduced environmental impact,” pahayag ng DBM.

“As we take part in this worthwhile endeavor, I encourage everyone to do our share, whether be it big or small, to help prevent ecological degradation and disasters by adopting climate change mitigation and resilience programs, switching to renewable energy, maintaining low greenhouse emissions, and many more,” pahayag ng DBM.

Sisimulan ng DBM na patayin ang ilaw mamayang 8:30 hanggang 9:30 ng gabi.

“Let us give our planet Earth, our home, and our future generation a fighting chance,” pahayag ng DBM..
