Apat na bagong EDCA sites natukoy na sabi ni Pangulong Marcos Jr.
Ibinahagi na ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. ang dagdag na apat na lugar na sasakupin ng Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Amerika.
Sinabi ng Pangulo, na isa sa mga EDCA sites ay sa Palawan at may gagawin aniya na formal announcement ang pamahalaan sa apat na lugar.
“We will make a formal announcement. So there are four extra sites, scattered around the Philippines. there are some in the north, there are some around Palawan, there are some further south. So, iba-iba talaga. It is really to defend our eastern coast pero meron ding element that is there because of our continental shelf which is on the eastrern side of Luzon, so that’s something that we have to look out for, ” pahayag ng Pangulo.
” Yes, we explained to them why it was important that we have that and why it will actually be good for their province. Mukha namang naintindihan nila because most of those who interposed some objections right now naintindihan naman nila and they have come around to support the idea of an EDCA site in their province, ” aniya.
