Text scams, nabawasan lang pero laganap pa rin – Poe
Bumaba lamang ngunit nanatiling malaganap ang panloloko sa pamamagitan ng text messages, ayon kay Senator Grace Poe.
Ang pagbaba ng bilang ng text scams ay itinuturo sa pagpapatupad ng SIM Card Registration Act.
“There are still SIM farms out there and spoofing tools. Sinister minds will never stop hatching ways of stealing information and duping people,” ani Poe, ang pangunahing may-akda ng naturang batas.
Hinimok ng senadora ang Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) at ang iba pang kinauukulang ahensiya na ipagpatuloy ang kampaniya laban sa lahat ng uri ng modus gamit ang moble phones.
Panawagan pa ni Poe sa DICT, paigtingin ang information at education campaign sa SIM registration bago ang deadline sa Abril 26.
