P3.41-B budget para sa TESDA scholars aprubado na ng Budget Department

Pinasalamatan ng Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) ang Department of Budget Management (DBM) sa pag-apruba sa pagpapalabas ng  P3.410 bilyon  para sa pagkasa  ing Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (UAQTEA) sa kanilang scholars.

Sinabi ni TESDA Director General Danilo Cruz malaking tulong sa kanila ang budget para maabot ang target nilang  1.8 milyon graduates ngayon taon.

Aniya ang naturang halaga ay mataas pa sa P2.910 bilyon na inilaan sa UAQTEA noong nakaarang taon.

“The budget allocation to TESDA for the implementation of UAQTEA, which is higher this 2023 compared to the previous years, is crucial in providing tech-voc training to Filipinos, specifically to those who cannot afford to go to college,” ani Cruz.

Binanggit nito na pinadadagdagan pa nila ang pondo para naman sa pagsasanay ng mga ‘enrolees’ sa kanilang programa.

Ipinaliwanag naman ni TESDA spokesperson Deputy Director General Aniceto D. Bertiz III na ang higher-level technical vocational education and training (TVET) o 3-year diploma programs ay pinonpondohan sa ilalim ng UAQTEA.

Aniya ang kanilang scholars ay may mga natatanggap na benepisyo bukod sa libreng tuition at miscellaneous fees ay may trainee support provisiion tulad ng gastusin sa kanilang national competency assessment, learning materials, 1-year accident insurance, at training support fund.
