Marcos sa PNPA graduates: Ibalik ang tiwala ng taong bayan
Hinimok ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong Marcos Jr. ang mga bagong graduates ng Philippine National Police Academy na maging mabuting kagawad ng batas at ibalik ang tiwala ng taong bayan.
Sa talumpati ng Pangulo sa graduation ng 44th Commencement Exercises ng PNPA Masidtalak Class of 2023 sa Silang, Cavite, sinabi nito na dapat na maging morally upright ang mga bagong pulis.
Payo ng Pangulo sa mga nagsitapos na simula pa lamang ito para sa pagbibigay ng karangalan at integridad sa serbisyo.
“As the citizen’s peacekeeping force, be just, be morally upright, and commit yourself to protecting and defending the rights of our people notwithstanding the current challenges faced by the PNP organization,” pahayag ng Pangu.
“I also ask you to be catalysts for restoring public trust in the Philippine National Police, and to be recognized as protectors and defenders of peace, order, and human rights; the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, as safekeepers of the general welfare of those persons deprived of liberty; and the Bureau of Fire Protection, as protectors of the nation from fires and other emergencies,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
Sabi ng Pangulo, dapat na maging patas at walang kinikilingan ang mga kagawad ng batas sa pagtupad sa tungkulin ano man ang katayuan sa buhay ng tao.
“Most importantly, keep in mind to fulfill your duties and responsibilities with fairness and impartiality, regardless of status in society,” dagdag ng Pangulo.
“Public service must be devoid of prejudice, of favoritism, or discrimination, for all Filipinos are entitled to equal rights and opportunities,” dagdag ng Pangulo.
Nasa 208 ang nagsipagtapos ngayon sa PNPA.
Sa naturang bilang, 186 ang magiging pulis, 11 ang papasok sa Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, habang ang 11 ay mapupunta sa Bureau of Fire Protection.
Si Police Cadete Francis de Leon Geneta na tubong Naujan, Oriental Mindoro ang valedictorian sa klase.
Hanga ang Pangulo sa mga graduates dahil natapos ang pag-aaral sa kabila ng pandemya sa COVID-19.
Nagpapasalamat naman ang Pangulo sa PNP, BFp at BJMP sa tulong sa pamahalaan lalo na sa kasagsagan sa pandemya ng COVID-19.
Pangako ng Pangulo, susuportahan nito ang mga programa para sa ikauunlad ng bansa.
Samantala, sa hindi inaasahang pagkakataon, nagkita sa graduation sina Pangulong Marcos at ang nasuspending director general ng Bureau of Corrections na si General Gerald Bantag.
Isa kasi ang anak ni Bantag sa mga graduates ng Class Masidtalak.
