Police bodyguards ng mga pulitiko dadagdagan – PNP
Inanunsiyo ng pambansang pulisya ang karagdagang seguridad sa mga pulitiko na may pagbabanta sa buhay kasunod na rin nang sunod-sunod na pag-atake sa mga lokal na opisyal.
Nakipagpulong ang Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) at PNP sa mga opisyal ng Union of Local Authorities in the Philippines, League of Governors, at League of Mayors ukol sa naturang isyu.
Sinabi ni Police Brig Gen. Matthew Baccay, ang director ng PNP’ Directorate for Personnel and Records Management, na tinitingnan nila ang pagbibigay ng “security package” sa mga pulitiko na mapapatunayan na nanganganib ang kaligtasan.
Sa ngayon, limitado sa dalawa ang police security aides ng mga pulitiko.
