Marcos sa mga konsehal: Suportahan ang priority legislation ng administrasyon
Hinikayat ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang Philippine Councilors League na suportahan ang panukalang batas ng administrasyon.
Sa talumpati ng Pangulo sa PCL National Convention 2023 sa World Trade Center sa Pasay City, sinabi nito na mahalagang maipasa ang mga panukalang batas lalo na ang mga panukala na nagbibigay ng dagdag kapangyarihan sa local government units.
Sabi ng Pangulo, obligasyon ng mga konsehal na bigyan ng buhay at substansya ang local autnomy pati na ang decentralization of powers.
“With this, I am hopeful that you will support the passage of the Administration’s legislative priorities, particularly measures that aim to capacitate local government units,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
Kabilang sa mga panukala ang e-Governance Act, na naglalayong gawing sentro ang digitalization para mapabilis ang transaksyon sa pamahalaan.
Hinimok din ng Pangulo ang mga konsehal na tulungan siyang i-lobby ang panukalang National Land Use Act na maipasa na para mapakinabangan ng husto.“So let us also work together for the passage of the Waste Treatment Technology Act, which will pave the way for modern options in solving the persistent garbage problem of the country,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
“This will mandate LGUs to promote, encourage, and implement a comprehensive solid waste management program that includes reduction, segregation, recycling, and recovery,” dagdag ng Pangulo.
