Dry-run sa exclusive motorcycle lanes sa Commonwealth Avenue gagawin bukas
Magsasagawa ng dry run bukas, Marso 9, ang Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) para sa exclusive motorcycle lanes sa kahabaan ng Commonwealth Avenue sa Quezon City.
Nakalaan ang exclusive motorcycle lane sa ikatlong lane mula sa sidewalk mula sa Elliptical Road hanggang sa bahagi ng Doña Carmen at vice versa.
Ayon kay MMDA Acting Chairman Atty. Don Artes, layunin ng dry run na maging pamilyar ang mga motorcycle riders.
“The dry run is meant to familiarize motorcycle riders traversing Commonwealth Avenue on the said policy. We will have a full deployment of MMDA traffic enforcers and we will be assisted by the local government of Quezon City,” pahayag ni Artes.
Sinabi ng opisyal na walang motorista ang sisitahin sa kabuuan ang dry-run na tataggal hanggang sa Marso 19.
Layunin aniya ng implementasyon ng motorcycle lane na mabawasan ang disgrasya sa kalsada.
Base sa talaan ng MMDA Metro Manila Accident Reporting and Analysis System (MMARAS) noong 2022, 1,686 aksidente ng motorsiklo ang naitatala kada araw at lima sa mga ito ang naitatala sa Commonwealth Avenue.
Sa naturang bilang, 13 ang namatay habang 930 ang non-fatal injuries, at 743 ang nagdulot ng damage to property.
“We will fully enforce the exclusive motorcycle lanes on Commonwealth Avenue after the dry run. Violators will then be fined P500,” pahayag ni Artes.
