Patuloy na nagbubunga ang biyahe ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa New York sa Amerika noong Setyembre.
Ito ay dahil sa balak ng ENDEC Development Corp. and Diode Ventures, LLC na magtayo ng dalawang hyperscale data centers sa sa Tarlac at New York City.
Nagbigay ng briefing ang ENDEC Development Corp., sa pangunguna ni ni ENDECGROUP, Inc. Managing Director William Johnson si Pangulong Marcos sa Malakanyang sa lagay ng proposed hyperscale data center projects.
“This is important for us. We’re left behind when it comes to digitalization. That’s why the push for data centers, fiber optics and satellite is one of our priorities,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
“We are really pushing [for] digitalization. Thank you for your continuing interest in the Philippines,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
Target ng ENDEC na masimulan ang proyekto sa unang quarter ng taong kasalukuyan sa pakikipagtulungan ng local Renewable Energy (RE) company para sa electricity requirements at masuportahan ang energy-intensive data center operations.
Gagamit ang kompanya ng 100 percent renewable energy na galing sa solar, wind at hydro para masuportahan ang 700 MW monthly power consumption.
Isa ang ENDECGROUP, Inc. at Diode Ventures, LLC sa Roundtable Meeting on Digital Infrastructure sa pagdalo ni Pangulong Marcos sa United Nations General Assembly sa New York noong Setyembre 22, 2022.
