Higit 30,000 bags ng smuggled sugar nasabat sa Subic

Kinumpiska ng Bureau of Customs – Port of Subic ang higit 30,000 sako ipinuslit na refined sugar na may halagang P150 milyon sa Subic Bay Freeport Zone sa Olongapo City, Zambales.
Nagpalabas si District Collector Maritess Martin ng Pre-Lodgement Control Orders at Alert Orders base sa mga impormasyon mula sa Department of Agriculture (DA) hinggil sa kargamento.
Nagtungo pa sa Subic si Customs Comm. Bienvenido Rubio para personal na suriin ang 58 containers na naglalaman ng higit 30,000 bags ng refined sugar, na may halagang P150 milyon.
Bukod dito, sinuri din ang dalawang containers na idineklarang naglalaman ng squid rings.
Nadiskubre ang smuggled frozen meat products na may halagang P40 milyon.
Sinabi ni Rubio na prayoridad ng BOC ang kaligtasan ng mga lokal na konsyumer laban sa mga maaring masamang maidulot s kalusugan ng mga smuggled food products.
