Humataw sa P20.4 bilyon ang kinita ng Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) noong nakaraang taon.
Ayon kay PPA General Manager Jay Santiago, ang halaga ang pinakamataas na kita na ng ahensya simula noong 1974.
Sinabi ni Santiago na ito namana ay bunga ng maayos nilang paghawak ng pera, gayundin ang pagluluwag na ng COVID 19 protocols.
“It has been business as usual since we got back, we continue to veer away from the grip of the pandemic by contributing to the economy and increasing our revenues by 16% more than the P17.5 in 2021,” ani Santiago.
Ito aniya ay magandang pangitain para sa kanila sa pagpapasigla pa ng ekonomiya ng administrasyong-Marcos Jr.
Pagbabahagi pa nito, noong nakaraang taon, 69 proyekto ang kanilang nakumpleto.
