Aabot pa sa P6 milyon ang hindi naibabalik ng Grab sa kanilang mga kustomer, ayon sa Philippine Competition Commission (PCC).
Nabatid na ang refund ay simula noon pang 2019, kung kailan inatasan ang ride-hailing company na ibalik ang P25 milyon sa kanilang kustomer dahil sa ‘over charging.’
Ayon kay PCC officer-in-charge Ivy Medina, 70 porsiyento pa lang ang nai-refund ng Grab.
“The PCC has found that Grab has not yet fully refunded all of the amounts that they are supposed to have given to the riders, tayo pong mga pasahero. That’s ongoing,” ani Medina.
Aniya pag-aaralan pa kung pagmumultahin muli ang Grab dahil sa isyu.
“The commission is now considering whether or not the circumstances or the reasons for which that refund was not yet fully paid to consumers would merit another fine to be imposed on Grab. Please give us time to complete that decision-making process,” pahayag pa ng opisyal.
Ang halaga ay hiwalay pa P40 milyong multa na nais makolekta ng PCC mula sa Grab dahil sa kabiguan na matupad ang kanilang ‘price commitments.’
