Pebrero 24 idineklarang ‘special non working holiday’
Bukas, Pebrero 24 o isang araw bago ang ika-37 anibersaryo ng EDSA People Power ay ‘special non-working holiday.’
Base ito sa Proclamation No. 167 ni Pangulong Marcos Jr.
Sa proklamasyon, iniurong bukas ang pagiging holiday ng Pebrero 25, na natapat sa araw ng Sabado.
“To enable our countrymen to avail of the benefits of a longer weekend pursuant to the principle of holiday economics… provided that the historical significance of the EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary is maintained,” deklarasyon ni Pangulong Marcos Jr.
Inatasan ang Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) na magpalabas ng alintuntunin para sa pagta-trabaho bukas.
Sa inilabas na Proclamation No. 90 na may petsang Nobyembre 11, 2022, idineklara ang Pebrero 25, 2023 na special non-working holiday para sa paggunita sa EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary.
