Pagcor naloko ng kinontratang audit company?

Ito ang tanong ni Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian na nais niyang mabigyan ng malinaw na kasagutan kayat nais niyang imbestigahan ng Senate Blue Ribbon Committee ang audit contract na pinasok ng Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor) sa Global ComRCI Consortium, isang third-party auditor.

Ayon kay Gatchalian malinaw ang matibay ang mga ebidensiya para patunayan ang panloloko ng Global ComRCI sa Pagcor sa pamamagitan ng kulang na audit report sa kinita ng  Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) revenuessa pagitan ng Enero at Agosto noong nakaraang taon.

Sa pagtataya ng senador, natangayan ang gobyerno ng P1.9 bilyon sa buwis.

“Based on all the evidence we have collected so far, it is clear that there is something very suspicious about the third- party auditor. The third-party auditor needs to be audited itself. At this point, it looks like a third-party scammer,” ayon sa namumuno Committee on Ways and Means.
