‘Full blown audit’ sa COVID 19 vaccines inihirit ni Chiz
Kahit mag-expire ang COVID 19 vaccines, kailangan na isapubliko pa rin ang ginastos sa mga ito, ayon kay Senator Francis Escudero.
“Millions of vaccine shots have unfortunately expired. But what does not go stale is the responsibility to disclose the details of the billions spent for them. The vaccines do not carry an immunity from accountability,” ani Escudero.
Kayat hiniling ng senador na magsagawa ng ‘full blown audit’ sa mga ginasta kaugnay sa mga bakuna. Aniya hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa nalalaman ang eksaktong halaga na ginasta sa mga bakuna.
“If you ask government agencies how much was spent for how many, you will get different answers, if that is you get a reply. May report na P300 billion at meron naman inamin sa floor ng Senate na P145 billion,” aniya.
Katuwiran pa ni Escudero pinalobo ng mga bakuna ang utang ng gobyerno.
“Hanggang ngayon, walang price list na lumabas kung magkano ang Sinovac, ang Moderna, ang Pfizer at iba pa. And yet, we fine small grocery stores for not complying with the price tag law. ‘Yung tindahan na hindi nailagay ang presyo ng sardinas, may multa. Itong sa bukana, deadma,” himutok nito.
Duda pa nito kung patuloy na maigigiit ng gobyerno ang “non-disclosure agreement” (NDA) na pinirmahan ng gobyenro sa mga vaccine manufacturers para hindi maisapubliko ang tunay na halaga.
