Filipina, 3 anak patay sa Turkiye earthquake

Kinumpirma ng Philippine Embassy sa Ankara sa Turkiye ang pagkamatay ng isang Filipina at tatlo nitong anak sa magnitude 7.8 earthqauke noong Pebrero 6.

“It is with deepest regret that the Embassy must confirm the passing of a Filipina housewife and her three children, previously reported to be missing under the rubble in Antakya,” pahayag ng embahada.

Una silang idineklarang ‘missing’ at pinaniwalaang natabunan.

Nabatid na inilibing na rin ang mag-iina ng asawang Turkish national ng Filipina base sa kanilang tradisyon.

Higit 45,000 na ang kumpirmadong nasawi sa trahedya, kasama na ang mga nasa Syria.

Samantala, higit 20 pamilya, kabilang ang overseas Filipinos, kanilang mga anak at asawang Turkish nationals, gayundin ang senior citizens ang nanatili sa embassy shelter.
