Ex-PSG chief Durante, 1 Army official inasunto sa paglabag sa Articles of War
Dalawang paglabag sa Articles of War ang isinampa laban kay Army Brigadier General Jesus Durante III matapos iugnay sa pagpatay sa isang busiswoman-model sa Davao City noong Disyembre.
Sinabi ni Army chief, Lt. Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr., paglabag sa Article 96 o “conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman,” at Article 97 o “conduct prejudicial to good order and military discipline” ang mga isinampa laban kay Durante.
Ang mga naturang kaso din ang isinampa laban kay Col. Michael Licyayo, ang deputy ni Durante sa Army 1001st Infantry Brigade sa Davao de Oro.
Ayon kay Brawner nagpapatuloy ang pre-trial investigation at nagsumite na rin ng kanilang counter-affidavits sina Durante at Licyayo.
Dagdag pa niya pinag-aaralan na ng kanilang Judge Advocate General at Provost Marshal ang mga sagot ng dalawang opisyal.
Itinuro si Durante na utak sa pagpatay kay Yvonette Chua Plaza noong Disyembre 29.
Nagsilbing commander ng Presidential Security Group sa administrasyong-Duterte si Durante.
May relasyon umano sina Durante at Chua Plaza at itinuturing na ‘crime of passion’ ang kaso.
Itinanggi na ito ni Durante at aniya malapit lamang na kaibigan ang biktima.
