Inilabas na ang Department of Budget and Management (DBM) ang P3.410 bilyong Special Allotment Release Order para sa Department of Labor and Employment – Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (DOLE-TESDA) para magamit sa implementasyon ng Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education (UAQTE) Act.
Ayon kay Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, sakop ng SARO ang Notice of Cash Allocation (NCA) para sa tertiary education sa lahat ng Filipinong estudyante na papasok sa Technical Vocational Institutions na accredited ng TESDA.
Sinabi pa ng kalihim na napapanahon ang paglalabas ng pondo para palakasin pa ang mga Filipinong estudyante lalot binibigyan ito ng prayoridad ngayon ni Pangulong Marcos Jr.
“The best investment for the youth of our country is education. Malaking tulong po ang Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education sa ating mga mag-aaral. This will ensure that no Filipino student is left behind,” ani Pangandaman.
Target ng DOLE-TESDA ang 54,783 target beneficiaries para sa UAQTE program sa Fiscal Year 2023 para sa Diploma Programs sa buong bansa.
