Paglabag sa RA 2000 sa CAVITEX lumubo, MPT South nagpaalala
Ibinahagi ng Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South) na tumaas ng halos 300 porsiyento ang bilang ng mga motorcycle riders na lumabag sa Republic Act 2000 o ang Limited Access Facility Act sa buong buwan ng Enero, ngayon taon.
Sa inilabas na pahayag ng MPT South, ang nasita na 273 motorcycle riders sa entry points ng Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) mula Enero 1 hanggang Enero 31 ay mataas ng 295 porsiyento kumpara sa 69 na nasita noong Enero 2022.
Nabatid na 85 porsiyento sa mga nasita na motorcycle riders ay nangatuwiran na sila ay naligaw sa kabila na tadtad ng ‘Prohibited on Expresway’ signages ang CAVITEX.
Paalala lang ng MPT South, tanging mga motorsiko na may 400cc pataas na engine displacement ang tanging maaring gumamit ng CAVITEX, CAVITEX C5 Link segment at Cavite – Laguna Expessway (CALAX).

2007-15 DESIGNATION AND DECLARATION OF ALL EXPRESSWAYS AS LIMITED ACCESS FACILITIES, and as such will only allow Motorcycles 400cc and above. Expressways are high-speed road facilities, and we aim for all our motorists to be safe while using our network of toll roads, we encourage them to follow the signs and speed limits,” ani MPT South president Raul Ignacio.
Pinaalahanan din na ang mga riders na mababa sa 400cc ang gamit na motorsiklo na pindutin sa kanilang navigation apps ang ‘two-wheeler’ o ‘motorcycle mode’ para hindi sila maligaw at bumagsak sa expressways patungo sa kanilang destinasyon.
“Aside from intensifying our security and traffic operations, we will continue to reach and educate drivers thru our ‘Drayberks’ road safety seminar that will roll out in selected communities of NCR and CALABARZON this Q1 of 2023,” dagdag pa ni Ignacio.
