Higit 400,000 child pornography sites naharang ng Globe noong 2022
Naharang ng Globe ang mahigit sa 400,000 links at websites na naglalaman ng child pornography noong nakaraang taon.
Ginawa ng Globe ang hakbang bilang suporta sa kampaniya kontra online sexual abuse and exploitation of children (OSAEC) sa bansa.
Kaugnay rin ito ng malawakang kampanya para isulong ang mas ligtas at mas responsableng paggamit ng makabagong teknolohiya.
Bunga ito ng $2.7 milyong inilaan ng Globe para sa system na nagsasala ng mga illegal content at umabot sa 399,540 URLs at 1.947 domains na may child porn content ang naharang noong nakaraang taon.
Ito ay mas mataas ng 18 beses sa 22,371 na mga sites na naharang noong 2021.
“Globe stands firmly behind the government’s anti-child pornography law and is committed to doing our part in protecting children from the dangers they may face on the internet. We have always been at the forefront of the fight against online sexual abuse and exploitation of children, and we will continue to take strong measures to restrict access to illegal sites,” ayon kay Anton Bonifacio, Chief Information Security Officer ng Globe.
Sa ilalim ng Republic Act 9775 o ang Anti-Child Pornography Act of 2009, lahat ng internet service providers o ISPs sa Pilipinas ay inaatasan na siguraduhing lahat ng uri ng child porn ay masasala at iba-block.
Base sa pag-aaral ng National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), ang Pilipinas ang isa sa mga nangungunang pinagmumulan ng mga malalaswang online content kung saan bata ang nabibiktima.
Kung kaya inilunsad ng Globe ang #MakeItSafePh campaign para mas paigtingin pa ang pagsusulong sa kaligtasan ng mga kabataang gumagamit ng internet.
Marami sa mga programa ng Globe ay alinsunod sa United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
