P5-B hindi naibibigay sa PCSO ng STL operators

Hinikayat ni Senator Ronald dela Rosa ang Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) na masusing imbestigahan ang kabiguan ng Small Town Lottery Authorized Agent Corporations (STL-AAC) na i-remit sa ahensiya ang may P5 bilyong sa ahensiya.

Sa pagdinig ng Committee on Games and Amusement ukol sa integridad ng  lotto games, pinayuhan ni  Dela Rosa ang PCSO na ikunsidera ang posibilidad na may illegal financiers na nakikipagsabuwatan sa STL operators na pinagnanakawan ng kita ang PCSO.

“They will just continue to hit and hit and the government will continue to suffer if this continues. Let us use due diligence. These ‘genius’ personalities in gambling operations always deceive the government. Let us be careful so that we will not lose income,” ani dela Rosa.

Samantala, nabanggit naman ni Minority Leader Aquilino Pimentel III, na karaniwan na lang ang mga pagdududa sa integridad ng lotto games at partikular na kung talagang may nakakakuha ng jackpot prizes.

“There is a need to make sure that the processes involved in the conduct of the lotto games by the PCSO are honest and free from any kind of fraud because they are state-sanctioned forms of gambling and rely on their integrity for the successful raising of funds for health programs, medical assistance and services, and charities of national character,” sabi pa nito.

Magugunita na naghain ng resolusyon si Pimentel para mabusisi ang lotto games ng PCSO nang may 433 jackpot winners sa Grand lotto para sa P236 million jackpot prize.
