DFA: Filipina, mga anak nawawala sa Turkiye earthquake

Kinumpirma ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) na isang Filipina at kanyang mga anak ang kabilang pa sa mga hinahanap matapos ang magnitude 7.8 earthquake na tumama sa Turkiye.   “The Embassy has sought the assistance of search-and-rescue teams in Hatay City on the status of a missing Filipino and their children, feared to be still under rubble,” ang pahayag ng Philippine Embassy sa Ankara, ang kapitolyo ng bansa. Sinabi pa ng embahada na ang pagkawala ng Filipina ay kinumpirma ng kanyang mister at hipag, kapwa Turkish nationals. May 28,000 na ang kumpirmadong nasawi sa lindol na tumama sa Turkiye at Syria, kabilang ang dalawang Filipino. Nabatid na ang mga labi ng isa sa dalawang nasawing Filipino ay iuuwi sa bansa, samantalang ang isa pa ay nakadepende sa magiging desisyon ng kanyang asawang Turkish national. Samantala, inanunsiyo ng DFA na magpapadala sa Turkiye ang Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) at Philippine Overseas Welfare Administration (POEA) ng kanilang mga tauhan para sa isinasagawang relief operations.
