Ligtas na mga gusali, istraktura pinatitiyak ni Sen. Bong Go
Dahil madalas tamaan ng mga kalamidad at sakuna ang Pilipinas, hiniling ni Senator Christopher Go na maamyendahan ang National Building Code.
Inihain ni Go ang Senate Bill 1181 o ang Philippine Building Act, na ang layon aniya ay masigurado ang kaligtasan ng mamamayan, kundi man ay mabawasan ang epekto ng kalamidad.
Paliwanag pa ng senador, nais niya na magkaroon ng iisang pamantayan sa lahat ng mga gusali, partikular na ang istriktong pagsunod sa ‘structural integrity and stability.’
“it seeks to provide more effective regulation of planning, design, construction, occupancy, maintenance of all public and private buildings and structures promoting building resilience against natural and man-made calamities,” sabi pa ni Go.
Ginawa nito ang pag-apila kasunod ng mapaminsalang lindol na tumama sa Turkey at Syria, na nagresulta sa pagkamatay ng higit 7,800.
