Joint patrols ng Amerika at Pilipinas sa South China Sea, aarangkada muli

Nagkasundo ang Amerika at Pilipinas na muling buksan ang joint patrols sa South China Sea.

Ayon sa pahayag ng US Defense Department, ito ay bunga na rin ng pagiging matagal nang magka-alyado ng dalawang bansa at labanan ang pagtatatag ng militar ng China sa lugar.

Una nang sinuspende ang maritime patrols sa South China Sea noong panahon ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Sinabi pa ng pahayag ng US Defense Department na nagkasundo sina Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana at US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin nang bumisita ang huli sa Pilipinas.

Napagkasunduan din ng dalawang opisyal ang pagdadagdag ng apat na bases sa bansa sa ilalim ng Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement.
