Ikatlong panukala para sa Maharlika Fund inihain ni Sen. Raffy Tulfo
Naghain na rin ng panukala si Senator Raffy Tulfo para sa pagkakaroon ng Pilipinas ng sovereign wealth fund.
Sa kanyang Senate Bill 1814, sinabi nito na layon niya ang pagkakaroon ng matatag na budget, pagpapalago sa ekonomiya at magkaroon ng ipon ang bansa.
Aniya ang kanyang nais na Maharlika Investment Fund ay alinsunod sa 2022-2028 Medium-Term Fiscal Framework (MTFF), ang pagtatag ng Maharlika Investment Corporation (MIC), na mamahala sa investments at kikitain ng sovereign wealth fund.
Tulad sa panukala na pinagtibay sa Kamara at sa unang MIF bill na inihain naman ni Sen. Mark Villar… ang ‘seed money’ o inisyal na capital ng MIF ay magmumula sa Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) na P50 bilyon at Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) na P25 bilyon.
Maari din mag-ambag ang bang government financial institutions (GFIs) at government -owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs).
Ang Board of Directors naman ay bubuuhin ng 15 myembro kung saan lima sa mga myembro rito ay mula sa private sector, the academe, business sector at investment sector.
