Pnoy, present; Duterte no-show sa 118th Independence Day rites

Sabay-sabay na nagsagawa ng programa ang iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa para sa 118th Independence Day ng Pilipinas.

Sa Rizal Park sa lungsod ng Maynila, present si outgoing President Noynoy Aquino, kasama ang ilang miyembro ng gabinete nito gaya nina Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa, Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin, acting AFP Chief General Glorioso Miranda, DepEd Secretary Armin Luistro, Foreign Affairs Secretary Rene Almendras at iba pa.

Dumating din sa Rizal Park sina outgoing Vice President Jejomar Binay at Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada.

Sa bahagi naman ng Quezon City, pinangunahan ni Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno ang flag-raising ceremony sa QC Hall.

Kasama nito si Quezon City Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte at ilan pang lokal na opisyal.

Sa San Juan City, si Senator-elect Win Gatchalian at local officials ng lungsod ang nanguna sa Independence day rites sa Pinaglabanan Shrine.

May ginawa namang 21-gun salute sa Monumento Circle, Caloocan City ngayong Araw ng Kalayaan.

Mayroong din aktibidad sa Rizal Park sa Davao City. Gayunman, no-show si President-elect Rodrigo Duterte.

Batay sa lokal na pamahalaan, hindi talaga dumadalo si Duterte sa mga aktibidad para sa Independence Day sa kanilang lugar.
