Infrastructure fund inalok na alternatibo ni Cayetano sa Maharlika Fund
Iginiit ni Senator Alan Peter Cayetano ang kanyang panukala sa gobyerno na pasimulan na ang isang infrastructure fund bilang alternatibo sa kontrobersyal na Maharlika Investment Fund (MIF).
Kasunod ito nang pagbigay sa dalawang panukala para sa pagbuo ng MIF sa Committee on Banks ni Sen. Mark Villar sa halip na sa pinamumunuan niyang Committee on Government Corporations and Public Enterprises.
“Why not have a platform for Juan dela Cruz where they can invest in these projects and get a board seat? With that, you have the same result as the Maharlika Investment Fund with safeguards,” ani Cayetano.
Paliwanag niya ang mga infrastructure projects tulad na lamang ng skyways at highways ay pinagkakakitaan.
“So far wala pa akong nakikitang nalugi sa mga projects na ganyan,” dagdag pa nito.
Diin ni Cayetano mas interesado siya sa mga paraan na magbibigay oportunidad sa mga Filipino sa pamamagitan ng mga proyektong pang-imprastraktura.
