Las Piñas LGU inilunsad ang mental health awareness program para sa mga kabataan
Pinasimulan ng pamahalaang-lungsod ng Las Piñas ang mental and reproductive health awareness program.
Sinabi ni Mayor Imelda Aguilar ang proyekto ay may temang “Kalungkutan ay Agapan, Kabataan ay Protektahan” at ang pagbubukas ay pinangunahan nina at Vice Mayor April Aguilar at Alelee Aguilar-Andanar sa Verdnt Covered Court sa Barangay Pamplona 3.
Dumalo ang halos 400 Sangguniang Kabataan officials, high school at senior high school students at out of school youths.
Ang pagtitipon ay inilunsad ng City Health Office sa ilalim ng pangangasiwa ni Dra. Julie Gonzales.
Sinabi ni Mayor Aguilar na layon ng programa na sa komunidad pa lamang ay mapagtibay na ang mga pamamaraan at hakbang para matugunan ang mental problems sa mga kabataan, kasama na ang paggamot at counseling.
Ibinahagi ni Gonzales na si Mayor Aguilar ang naka-isip na dapat ay magkaroon ng programa para sa mga residente ng lungsod na nagkaroon ng isyu sa pag-iisip dahil sa COVID 19 pandemic.
Dagdag pa niya na katuwang nila sa proyekto ang Department of Education (DepEd) bunga na rin ng pagbabalik ng face-to-face classes mula sa mahigit dalawang taon na virtual learning system.
“Mayor Aguilar is very much supportive to the health of every resident especially among the youth which is part of her health advocacy,” dagdag pa ni Gonzales.
Nabatid na pinuri ni Metro Manila Center for Health Development-Department of Health (MMCHD-DOH) Regional Dir. Aleli Grace Sudiacal ang proyekto.
