Publiko pinag-iingat sa pagsakay sa Maxim at InDrive
Binalaan ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board ang publiko na tumatangkilik sa dalawang illegal transport network vehicle service (TNVS) firms sa bansa.
Ayon kay LTFRB Chairman Teofilo Guadiz, walang permiso mula sa kanilang hanay ang operasyon ng Maxim at InDrive.
Wala aniyang paraan ang pamahalaan na mamonitor ang singil sa pasahe at seguridad ng mga pasahero.
“The danger here is that if something bad happens, the public has no company to complain to, which is why I hope the public will stop using their services,” pahayag ni Guadiz.
Parehong may operasyon sa Russia ang Maxim at InDrive na namamasada sa Pilipinas.
“Since these apps are not licensed as TNCs, the requirements of financial capacity, terms and conditions of service, customer service, driver accreditation and training and other crucial requirements are not complied with. Hence, they are not authorized to offer transport services on their app,” pahayag ni Guadiz.
Nakikipag-ugnayan na si Guadiz sa Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) para kausapin ang tech giants na Apple at Google para ipa-ban ang app stores ng dalawang kompanya.
