Globe nakaharang ng 2.72 bilyong scam at spam messages noong 2022
Umabot sa nakakalulang 2.72 bilyon na scam at spam messages noong nakaraang taon ang naharang ng Globe.
Ito ay higit doble sa naharang na 1.15 bilyon noong 2021.
Bunga rin ng pinaigting na kampaniya at pagbabantay ng Globe sa mga scammer na gumagamit ng cellphone, 83.4 milyong bank-related spam messages ang naharang din noong 2022.
Nakipagkasundo ang Globe sa lahat ng pangunahing bangko sa bansa at online retailers para matiyak ang mabilis na pagpapalitan ng mga impormasyon para malabanan ang spam at mapanlokong text messages.
“Our customers are our top priority so we do our best to ensure that they are protected from scammers and fraudsters. We will continue to invest in cybersecurity systems and work tirelessly to provide them with a safe and enjoyable online experience as we also take part in the full implementation of the SIM Registration Act,” sabi ni Anton Bonifacio, Globe Chief Information Security Officer.
Tiwala ito na dahil sa mga pagsusumikap nila na maharang ang mga mapanlokong mensahe darating ang araw na matutuldukan na ang text fraud.
Gumasta ang Globe ng $20 million para mapalakas pa ang kanilang ‘spam and scam SMS detection and blocking system’ sa pamamagitan ng kanilang 24/7 Security Operations Center.
