Sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., na ibibigay niya ang top Department of Agriculture (DA) post sa isang agricultural expert at hindi sa isang retiradong opisyal ng militar o pambansang pulisya.
Katuwiran niya hindi tamang posisyon para sa isang militar ang DA.
Sa kasalukuyan si Pangulong Marcos Jr., ang umaaktong kalihim ng kagawaran.
“Agriculture is a very complicated subject, Hindi lang kung sino-sino basta’t magaling mag-manager. They have to understand the science…They also have to understand the system,” aniya.
Ayon pa sa Punong Ehekutibo, aalis siya sa DA kapag nagawa na ang lahat ng dapat gawin at sa ngayon aniya ay marami pang ginagawa.
Dagdag pa nito kailangan din makunpleto ang ‘structural changes’ sa DA.
