Dalawang containers na puno ng smuggled cigarettes nasabat ng BOC sa Cagayan de Oro
Naharang ng Bureau of Customs – Port of Cagayan de Oro ang pagtatangka na maipuslit ang dalawag container na naglalaman ng mga sigarilyo.
Nabuko ang P160-milyong halaga ng smuggled cigarettes sa pasgasagawa ng spot-check examination sa Mindanao Container Terminal Port sa Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental noong Enero 18.
Dumating ang containers noong nakaraang Disyembre 16 at ‘personal effects’ ang idineklarang laman ng mga ito.
Isinagawa ang spot check examination base sa hiling ng Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service at Surigao Field Station.
Nang buksan ang containers nadiskubre ang 2,000 master cases ng New Berlin cigarettes.
Agad na nagpalabas ng Pre-Lodgement Control Order si District Collector Alexandra Yap-Lumontad para sa posibleng paglabag sa RA 10863 o ang Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.
