MAY 100 kababaihan mula sa disadvantaged communities ang bumubuo sa unang batch ng mga nagtapos mula sa livelihood program ngHapag Movement ng Globe Telecom.
Ang Hapag Movement ang pinag-isang paglaban ng Globe at ng partners nito kontra kagutuman, na naglalayong matulungan ang may 500,000 Filipinos .
Ang pinakamahalagang bahagi nito ay ang livelihood training, na nagkakaloob sa mga Filipino ng kasanayan na magbibigay sa kanila ng mapagkakakitaan.
Sa natatanging seremonya sa Quezon City, ang unang batch ay kinilala ng Globe, Ayala Foundation, at ng partner organization Virlanie Foundation.
Sila ay mula sa Manila North Cemetery, Parola, Rolling Hills, at Bagong Silangan sa Quezon City at nagtapos sa training ukol sa beauty care, baking, food processing, rags making and sewing, at mushroom and urban gardening.
“The Hapag Movement is an important initiative for Globe, as it not only helps to address hunger in the Philippines, but it also empowers communities to be self-sufficient through key skills and training. We look forward to continuing to support our fellow Filipinos as they build a sustainable livelihood for themselves and their families,” pahayag ni Apple Evangelista, Head of Sustainability and Social Responsibility sa Globe.

The Hapag Movement is a testament to this belief, as it has allowed us to create more opportunities for our beneficiaries outside of our usual efforts.”
