Higit sa 16 milyon na ang nagpa-rehistro ng Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) hanggang ngayon araw, base sa datos National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), ayon sa Department of Information and Technology (DICT).
Pagbabahagi pa ng DICT, maayos na ang pagpapa-rehistro ng SIM sa kabuuan na 16,150,926.
Sa Smart Communications Inc. may 7,584,321 na ang nagpa-rehistro, 7,137,764 naman sa Globe Telecom Inc., at 1,428,841 sa DITO Telecommunity Corp.
Sinabi ni
DICT Usec. Anna Mae Yu Lamentillo patuloy naman na pinagbubuti ng public telecommunications entities (PTEs) ang proseso ng pagpaparehistro ng kanilang subscribers.
“We encourage all SIM subscribers who have not yet registered their SIMs to register already with their PTEs to ensure that their SIMs won’t be deactivated. If there are glitches or technical issues during registration, please report these through hotline 1326. We also remind everyone to register only through the official platforms provided by the PTEs,” apila ni Lementillo.
