General Centino balik sa pagiging AFP chief of staff
Balik sa puwesto sa pagiging chief of staff ng Armed Forces of the Philippines si General Andres Centino.
Ito ay matapos italaga ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. si Centino bilang AFP chief of staff kapalit ni Lt. General Bartolome Bacarro.
Nagsilbi nang chief of staff ng AFP si Centino noong Nobyembre 12, 2021 hanggang Agosto 8, 2022.
Kabilang si Centino sa Philippine Military Academy “Maringal” Class 1998.
Sa ilalim ng Republic Act 11709, mayroon nang fixed term na tatlong taon ang mauupong chief of staff ng AFP.
Nang maupong chief of staff noon, ipinatupad ni Centino ang apat na major thrusts sa AFP. Ito ay ang operational efficiency, optimal use of resources, advancement of professionalism and meritocracy within the organization, at capability development.
