Higit $22-B investment pledges nakuha sa China state visit ni PBBM
Aabot sa $22.8 bilyong halaga ng investment pledges ang nakuha ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. sa kanyang pagbisita sa China.
Kabilang sa mga nakuha ng Pangulo ang $1.72 bilyong halaga para sa agribusiness, $13.76 bilyong investment para sa renewable energy (RE), at $7.32 bilyong halaga para sa strategic monitoring (electric vehicle, mineral processing).
Dalawang cooperative agreements din ang naselyuhan para masiguro ang sustainable supply ng agriculture inputs lalo na ng mga fertilizers.
Sinabi pa ng Pangulo na malaki ang potensyal ng sektor ng agrikultura para mapalakas at maitulak ang economic development sa agribusiness ecosystem, abundant land, fishery resources, at iba pa.
Ikinalugod din ng Punong Ehekutibo ang hangad ng mga negosyanteng Chinese na maglagak ng negosyo sa niyog, durian production, at Philippine livestock sector na tiyak na makalilikha ng trabaho at magpapalakas ng ekonomiya ng bansa.
Samantala, nakuha naman ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., ang $13.76 bilyong investment pledges sa renewable energy.
Sa pakikiharap niya sa Chinese businessmen, sinabi nito na malaki ang potensyal ng pagnenegosyo ng renewable energy sa bansa dahil sa tumataas ang demand nito.
“We look forward to more Chinese investments in renewable energy pursuits such as in solar and wind, as well as in related sectors including battery energy storage systems and off-grid power supply systems,” pahayag pa ng pangulo.
