LTO sa mga motorista: Huwag suhulan ang traffic enforcers!
Umapila ang Land Transportation Office (LTO) sa mga motorista na iwasan na suhulan ang mga traffic enforcers para ayusin ang mga paglabag sa mga batas-trapiko.
Ayon kay LTO chief Jose Arturo “Jay Art” Tugade, dapat kilalanin ng mga motorista ang awtoridad ang mga traffic enforcers na tumutupad sa kanilang tungkulin.
“Offering bribes to our law enforcers will not get you anywhere and will make things worse. Wala pong tiwali kung walang mag-uudyok na maging tiwali. Magtulungan po tayo.”_ pahayag ni Tugade.
Ginawa ni Tugade ang pahayag matapos mahuli ng LTO Region 5 law enforcement officers sa Sorsogon City ang isang drayber na nagtangakang manuhol.
Nabatid na may 17 pasahero ang minamanehong van ng driver, na nagsingit ng P3,000 sa kanyang lisensiya, at patungo sila sa Visayas.
“The entire LTO and myself laud the actions of our noble traffic enforcers for refusing to accept the alleged bribery attempt, for standing firm in enforcing the law and not be tempted by acts of corruption. They are exceptional public servants that should be emulated by everyone,” pahayag ni Tugade.
