Pagsuporta sa extrajudicial killings ni Duterte, kinondena ng UN Chief
Mismong si United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon ang nagpahayag ng pagkondena sa mistulang pagsuporta ni incoming President Rodrigo Duterte sa extrajudicial killings at sa pagpatay sa mga media sa Pilipinas.
Ang komento ng Secretary-General ng UN ang isa sa kauna-unahang puna ng isang world leader sa mga binibitiwang pahayag ng susunod na presidente ng bansa.
Sa kanyang mensaheng naka-post sa UN website, inihayag nito na iligal at paglabag sa karapatan at kalayaan ang extrajudicial executions sa kahit alinmang bansa.
Ang mga naturang pahayag aniya ay nakakabahala lalo’t hindi pa rin napipigilan ang mga insidente ng karahasan kontra sa mga mamamahayag sa Pilipinas.
“I unequivocally condemn his apparent endorsement of extrajudicial killings, which is illegal and a breach of fundamental rights and freedoms. Such comments are of particular concern in light of on-going impunity for serious cases of violence against journalists in the Philippines,” mensahe ng Secretary-General ng UN.
Una rito, matatandaang pinagmumura ni Duterte ang United Nations dahil sa pakikialam nito sa Pilipinas kahit hindi umano nito maresolba ang mga problema sa ibang bahagi ng mundo.
