PBBM Jr., pinuri ni SP Zubiri sa pagsuspindi sa ‘Philhealth contribution hike’
Pinuri ni Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri ang pagsuspindi ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., sa karagdagang kontribusyon sa Philhealth.
Sinabi ni Zubiri na makakabawas ito nang pasanin ng maraming Filipino dahil mahirap pa rin ang buhay bunga ng pandemya.
Ang dagdag sa kontribusyon ay nakapaloob sa Universal Health Care Act at ito ay mula sa 2.75 porsiyento at dapat ay maging 3.5 porsiyento ngayon taon hanggang umabot sa 5 porsiyento sa 2024.
“This suspension shows that the President knows and acts on the needs of our countrymen by bringing down the daily cost of expenses that everyone is burdened with, especially during this time of high inflation affecting everything from food to fuel,” ani Zubiri.
Aniya ang karagdagang kontribusyon ay maaring masingil kapag napababa na ang inflation rate sa bansa.
