Pilipinas mag-aangkat ng 60,050 metrikong toneladang asukal

Pinamamadali na ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang pag-aangkat ng asukal.
Base sa Memorandum Order Number 77, nasa 64, 050 metrikong tonelada ng asukal ang pinaangkat ng Pangulo.
Nilagdaan ni Agriculture Senior Undersecretary Domingo Panganiban ang kautusan at Inaatasan si Minimum Access Volume (MAV) Secretariat officer-in-charge and Executive Director Jocelyn Salvador.
Si Pangulong Marcos ang tumatayong kalihim ng Department of Agriculture (DA).
“In this regard, you are hereby directed to immediately convene the Minimum Access Volume Advisory Coincil and expedite the the importation of 64,050 metric tons of refined sugar through the MAV mechanism,” saad ng memorandum.
Layunin ng importasyon na ma-stabilize ang presyo ng asukal sa merkado.
