Daphne Oseña-Paez itinalagang press briefer ng Malakanyang
Itinalaga ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang television personality at dating reporter na si Daphne Oseña-Paez bilang “press briefer” ng administrasyon.
Ipinakilala ni Office of the Press Secretary officer-in-charge Undersecretary Cheloy Garafil si si Paez ngayong araw sa harap ng Malacañang Press Corps.
Ayon kay Paez, siya na ang magpi-presenta ng mga mensahe ni Pangulong Marcos na nais ipaabot sa taong bayan.
“My role here is to amplify and communicate the message of President Marcos and the Cabinet and the government, and you are my partners in this,” pahayag ni Paez.
Nilinaw naman ni Paez na hindi siya ang spokesperson ng Pangulo.
“The President will speak for himself. I am just here to support the Office of the Press Secretary for now. And I look forward to learning about the programs,” pahayag ni Paez.
“I look forward to working with all of you of course in a harmonious and collegial manner kasi I am also one of you. I am very honored to be communicating the message and programs of this administration of course in an accurate and effective way and I will do my best,” dagdag ni Paez.
Nang tanungin kung ano ang katungkulan ni Paez sa gobyerno, ang sagot nito “You can just call me Daphne.”
Bukod sa pagiging dating reporter, naging goodwill ambassador ng Unicef si Paez.
“Isang karangalan na makasama namin sa Office of the Press Secretary ang isa sa mga lumalaban para sa karapatan ng mga kababaihan, kabataan at ng kalikasan. Nagtapos ng kursong Fine Arts, History mula sa University of Toronto sa Canada at kasalukuyang naka enrol para sa advanced certificate for environmental management. Ipinakilala nmin sa inyo ang bagong Malacañang press briefier si Bb. Daphne Oseña-Paez,” pahayag ni Garafil.
Dati na ring naiatala sa Malacanang beat si Paez noong panahon ni dating Pangulong Fidel Valdez Ramos.
Si Paez ay anak ng dating piloto ni dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Sr. na si Colonel Delio Osena.
Bago si Paez, umugong na rin ang mga pangalan nina dating Congressman Gilbert Remulla, Cesar Chaves at Mike Toledo.
Magsasagawa si Paez ng briefing tuwing araw ng Martes pagkatapos ng Cabinet meeting.
