Sa kabila ng pagpanaw ni Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) founding chairman Jose Maria ‘Joma’ Sison, hindi magdedeklara ang partido ng ‘holiday ceasefire.’
Ayon sa CPP – Information Bureau, walang nakikitang dahila ang kanilang Central Committee para magdeklara ng tigil-putukan dahil patuloy ang pagpapakalata ng AFP ng kanilang puwersa.
“The Central Committee , hereby directs the New People’s Army (NPA)… to actively fight and frustrated the AFP’s campaign of armed suppression,” ang pahayag ng CPP.
Nagdeklara ang CPP ng 10 araw ng pagluluksa kasunod nang pagkamatay ni Sison noong nakalipas na Sabado, Disyembre 17.
Sa kabila, pinagbilanan ang NPA na maari pa rin magsagawa ng ‘tactical offensives’ laban sa puwersa ng gobyerno.
