Pumanaw na si Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) founding chairman Jose Maria “Joma” Sison sa edad na 83.
Nasa self-exile si Sison sa the Netherlands.
Ayon kay Marco Valbuena, chief information officer ng Communist Party of the Philippines, pumanaw si Sison 8:40 kagabi, oras sa Pilipinas matapos ang dalawang linggong pagkaka-ospital.
Nagluluksa aniya ang kanilang hanay sa pagkamatay ni Sison.
Disyembre 1968 nang itatag ni Sison ang CPP.
