P11.5-M halaga ng smuggled agricultural products mula China nasabat sa MICP

Kinumpiska ng Manila International Container :Port (MICP) ang anim na container na naglalaman ng smuggled agricultural products na nagkakahalaga ng P11.5 milyon.
Nabatid na Nobyembre 18, nang dumating ang containers na para sa Victory JM Enterprise OPC mula sa Hong Kong, China.
Base sa impormasyon mula sa Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service at Department of Agriculture, ‘misdeclared and undeclared items’ ang laman ng containers.
Nang magsagawa ng inspection, nadiskubre na ang containers ay naglalaman ng frozen tofu, chicken paw, boneless beef, Vietnamese suckling pig, beancurd skin, puting sibuyas, frozen fish tofu, at rozen beef cheek meat.
Ang mga produkto ay nangangailangan ng permits mula sa DA.
Naglabas na ng Warrants of Seizure and Detention sa mga kargamento dahil sa paglabag sa Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA) at regulasyon ng DA.
