Import permits ng galunggong, pompano at iba pang isda sinuspindi ng DA
Hindi na muna maglalabas ng Department of Agriculture (DA) ng sanitary and phytosanitary import clearances (SPSIC) para sa ilang uri ng isda.
Inilabas ng kagawaran ang Administrative Circular No. 11 upang hindi maipagbili ang galunggong, bonito, mackarel, moonfish, pompano at tuna by-products na inangkat sa pamamagitan ng Fisheries Adminisrative Order No. 195 na inilabas noong 1999.
Nabatid na papayagan lang ang importasyon kung ito ay direktang gagawin ng processors at importers na nagbebenta ng raw materials sa processors na may lisensiya mula sa Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
“Prior to issuance of subsequent SPSICs, all importers under FAO 195 must submit a disposition report of their previous importation to be verified by the BFAR [Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources],” ayon sa kagawaran.
Kinakailangan na na ang lahat ng gagawing importasyon ay naka-record sa electronic system ng Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) sa loob ng 24 oras mula nang mai-deliver ang mga ito.
