AFP malamig sa ‘holiday ceasefire’

Hindi ikinukunsidera ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ang pagdedeklara ng tigil putukan sa mga rebeldeng komunista.

“The ceasefire is out of the question now because, number one, we do not know who to talk to. The leaders are into hiding, some are neutralized,”  ani AFP spokesperson Col. Medel Aguilar.

Sinabi pa ni Aguilar na sa ngayon ay may krisis sa pamunuan ng NPA kayat hindi makakasunod ang lahat kung magdedeklara ang grupo ng mga terorista ng tigil-putukan.

Aniya ang maari nilang gawin ay magdeklara lamang ng suspension of military operation (SOMO).

Magugunita na noong Hunyo, sinabi ni CPP founding chairman Joma Sison na handa silang makipag-usap para sa kapayapaan sa administrasyong-Marcos Jr.
