Pompano, pink salmon at iba pang Imported na isda puwede pa sa mga palengke

Hindi tuloy ang pagpapatupad ng kautusan ng Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) na magbabawal sa pagbebenta ng pompano, pink salmon at iba pang imported na isda sa mga palengke.
Ito ay matapos ulanin ng batikos, kasama na ang mula sa mga ilang senador, ang naturang kautusan, na dapat ay magiging epektibo sa araw ng Linggo, Disyembre 3.
Una nang ikinatuwiran ng BFAR na ipinagbabawal sa Fisheries Administrative Order No. 195.
Sa inilabas na pahayag ng kawanihan, pag-aaralan ang FAO No. 195, kaugnay sa importasyon ng mga yamang-dagat.
“In the interest of the Filipino consumers and fisheries stakeholders, the Bureau remains committed in carrying out its mandate to ensure food security and food sufficiency, especially that Christmas season is fast approaching, while strengthening the implementation of fishery laws and other necessary regulations,” ayon pa sa BFAR.
