P5.2 bilyong ayuda para sa 9.8 milyong pamilya, inilabas na ng DBM
Inilabas na ng Department of Budget and Management ang P5.2 bilyong pondo para sa one-month requirement ng Targeted Cash Transfer (TCT) program ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Ayon kay Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, kinuha ang pondo sa Special Allotment Release Order (SARO) sa Unprogrammed Appropriation.
Sakop ng pondo ang ikatlong tranche ng TCT program ng DSWD na aabot sa 9.8 milyong benepisyaryo.
“The DBM fully supports the projects and programs that provide social assistance to our fellow kababayans. It was the President himself who gave the marching order not to neglect those in dire need. Thus, we will do everything we can in our capacity so that they may receive the benefits entitled to them,” pahayag ni Pangandaman.
Sa ilalim ng TCT program, makatatanggap ang mga mahihirap na pamilya ng tig P500 na naapektuhan ng sunod-sunod na pagtaas ng presyo ng gasolina.
Anim na buwan na nakatanggap ng ayuda ang 9.8 milyong benepisyaryo.
Una rito, nag-release na ang DBM ng P10.33 bilyong pondo sa sa DSWD para sa dalawang buwang cash transfers sa 10 milyong target household beneficiaries.
Nabatid na ang P5.2 bilyong ini-release ng DBM ay bahagi ng P9.1 bilyon na computed requirement para sa isang buwang ayuda sa 9.8 milyong identified beneficiaries at tatlong buwang additional 2.6 milyong benepisyaryo ng TCT program.
