Pagtaas ng COVID 19 cases sa Metro Manila ibinabala ng OCTA Research

Posible na dumami ang bilang ng mga bagong kaso ng COVID 19 sa Metro Manila sa pagpasok ng Disyembre. Ito ang babala ng OCTA Research matapos punahin ang dalawang porsiyentong pagtaas sa positivity rate sa National Capital Region. Sinabi ni OCTA Fellow Guido David na mula sa 7.4 % positivity rate noong Nobyembre 15 tumaas ito sa 9.2%  noong Nobyembre 22. Aniya maaring maulit ang nangyari noong nakaraang Hunyo, kung saan sumirit ang positivity rate. “Unless the trends change, this looks like the start of another wave of infections in the NCR as cases will likely start increasing again,” aniya. Una naman ng sinabi ng Department of Health (DOH) na ang pagtaas sa positivity rate ay hindi dapat ikabahala dahil ang daily case average sa nakalipas na dalawang linggo ay 100 kaso lamang. Ayon pa kay DOH Officer-in-Charge  Maria Rosario Vergeire ang ‘positivity rate’ ay hindi kasama sa pamantayan ukol sa sitwasyon ng COVID 19 sa bansa.
