DOLE inanunsiyo ang pagsuspindi ng December labor inspections

Para maharap ang mga nakabinbing labor standard cases, sinuspindi ng Department of  Labor and Employment (DOLE) ang lahat ng labor  inspection activities sa Disyembre.

Base sa Administraive Order No. 342 Series of 2022, inatasan ni Sec. Bienvenido Laguesma ang kanyang regional directors na pansamantalang itigil ang labor inspections simula sa Disyembre 1.

Ngunit ani Laguesma tuloy pa rin ang complaint inspections; Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards investigations; technical safety inspections, tulad ng inspection of boilers, pressure vessels, at mechanical and electrical wiring installation.

At kasabay ng suspensyon, hinikayat ni Laguesma ang kanyang regional directors na magsagawa ng trainings tulad  ng  Level 1A: Basic Course for Labor Inspectors.

“This is to ensure that the labor inspectorate is updated with the latest issuances and are highly skilled and equipped to perform their duties in enforcing labor laws and OSH standards,” aniya.

Hanggang sa katapusan ng nakaraang buwan, kabuuang 74,945 establismento sa bansa ang binisita ng labor inspectors para sa compliance rate na 78.08 porsiyento sa general labor standards, 53.96 percent sa OSHS, aat  94.49 percent sa minimum wage.
